Vulcan Park and Museum’s spectacular holiday experience is back for 2025! A Birmingham tradition, featuring more lights, more music, and more family fun!
During December, you and your family have the opportunity to view the city’s twinkling lights from our favorite iron man, Vulcan, perched atop Red Mountain.
Tell Me More!
Each night of Vulcan’s Magical Nights features lights, lights, and more lights. Beautiful displays cover the bushes and trees inside Vulcan Park, along with two large light tunnels.
The main attraction is the series of timed light shows projected onto the Vulcan statue each evening at various intervals. A unique sight enjoyed from down below, or make the trip to the observation deck to enjoy sparkling holiday views from above.
Dates and Times
The holiday spectacular is open nightly from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Looking to experience the magic of the season with Santa Claus himself? Be sure to attend Magical Nights during one of his special visits. Share your Christmas wishes and snap a festive photo with Santa during select nights in December from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
Magical Nights with Santa take place on December 6-7, 13-14, and 19-23.
Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and up and $7 for children ages 5-12. Children four and under are free. Tickets include access to the park grounds, the museum (closes at 6 p.m. but will be open during Santa nights), the viewing deck, and photos with Santa!
Purchase tickets at the park or online here to avoid the line!
Please note that ticket time is set for Magical Nights from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., but Santa is only available from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the Visitor Center. Pricing includes access to Magical Nights.
Make a night of it! Let your kids tell Santa their Christmas wishes, and enjoy the holiday spirit. Or better yet, leave the kids at home, and have a date night among the lights. Christmas only comes once a year, and it’s time to celebrate!
