SUMMARY:Junior Naturalist Academy
DESCRIPTION:Let your child step into the shoes of a naturalist! Throughout the month of June\, Junior Naturalists will explore Ruffner Mountain’s landscape\, flora\, and fauna through hands-on science\, nature hikes\, and creative eco-art projects. From fossil hunting and plant propagation to tree ID hikes and birdwatching\, each day highlights a different part of our local ecosystem—encouraging curiosity\, observation\, and care for the natural world. \nNaturalists will be grouped according to age into ages 7–9 years group and ages 10-12 years group\, with a maximum of 15 individuals per group. The daily schedule includes outdoor exploration\, STEAM activities\, and games designed to build confidence\, foster friendships\, and promote environmental awareness in a fun\, engaging\, and inclusive setting.
