Intermediate Spring Break Studio Camp – Choose your own Art Adventure

Give your teen a creative and enriching Spring Break experience with this 3-day arts mini-camp designed for middle and high school students ages 13–18. Whether your child is new to the arts or ready to deepen their skills, this camp provides a supportive environment where young artists can explore creativity, build confidence, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

Campers will choose one of three focused tracks: Performance Art, Creative Writing, or Visual Art, each led by experienced teaching artists. The Performance Art track uses acting and movement to develop storytelling skills and self-expression. In Creative Writing, students explore poetry and descriptive writing while finding inspiration throughout UAB’s campus. The Visual Art track guides students in creating a 3D self-portrait using clay and mixed media, encouraging both artistic growth and self-reflection. Beginners are welcome in all tracks.
The camp takes place March 24–26 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tuition is $200 and includes all necessary art supplies. Students should bring a packed lunch each day. Please note that extended care is not available. Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
