Grab your tennis shoes and join us for a family friendly exercise event directly before this year’s 26th Annual St. Elias Lebanese Food and Cultural Festival! This is our 11th annual race hosted by St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church immediately preceding Saturday’s food festival.
We will have both a chip timed 5K race beginning at 8:00 AM (cost is $15 to register for children between the ages of 0-21 years old and $25 to register for adults older than 21 years*) and a 1 mile fun run beginning at 9:00 AM (cost is $15 to register for children between the ages of 0-21 years old and $18 to register for adults older than 21 years*) that takes runners along the south side of Birmingham’s historic Glen Iris neighborhood. Race entry fees include a cotton short sleeve T-shirt and a race goodie bag to the first 200 to register. ALL race proceeds benefit the nonprofit organization, Just Keep Smiling, which provides financial, emotional, and spiritual assistance to families of critically ill children. *Registration prices increase after 3/17/24. Strollers are welcome on the race course!
We will have face painting, superhero characters available for pictures/ autographs, and early access to Saturday’s St. Elias Lebanese Food and Cultural Festival waiting for you at the finish line! Come burn some calories and work up a healthy appetite with your whole family before this year’s festival at either the 5K or Fun Run!
