Brittany was born and raised in Cahaba Heights. After four years at Auburn University and twelve years in North Alabama, she's raising her own family in Vestavia. Brittany is married to Brent, and they have three kids--one in high school, one in middle school, and one in elementary school. To sum up this season of motherhood, she's overwhelmed at night with math homework she doesn't know how to do. She is a 4th grade English Language Arts teacher and is working on a master's degree. When she's not teaching, working on grad school, or wondering what to feed everyone for dinner, she enjoys writing, reading, and camping with her family. Whenever she's asked what her hobbies are, there's just one--anything that makes her laugh. Brittany loves to tell a good story and enjoys the simple things--family, friends, sunsets, coffee with cream, and as little makeup as possible. You can find her on Instagram @bjeanvk and on Substack at @bjeanwrites.
