I’m A Thrift Store Mom

0

I’m a proud thrift store mom.

I’ve said it many times before, and I stand by it proudly! I absolutely love going to the thrift store, and not just those around me, but also those in different states that I visit.

I’ve been regularly shopping at thrift stores since I was a teenager. Being as big of a nerd as I am, the thrift store has always been my favorite place. Sure, I could spend $80 on a pair of jeans OR I could spend $10 and have money left over for more books than I can possibly ever read. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve reached the point where I would rather shop at a thrift store than a name brand store.

As a single mom I have found thrift stores to be such a blessing!

Let’s be honest, kids are expensive as it is, and they grow out of clothes fast. They also easily wear them out with stains and/or tears. It’s always been more logical to me to spend $50 on several outfits instead of $50 one—maybe two—that they will quickly outgrow. (Also, Emmett’s got a polyester sensitivity, so his clothes have to be mostly cotton, which is again why I love the thrift store.)

I not only find clothes at thrift stores, but also so many other neat things. I’ve found some really nice toys for my kids, furniture, kitchenware, and even two rugs that are my favorite ever! I found an amazing pair of Justin boots for Emmett for hardly anything. It is almost like a treasure hunt to see what you will find.

Below I have listed some of my go-to thrift stores. I would love to hear of more that you love and enjoy going to!
