Fun, Fall Apple Recipes & Supplies
Once you pick these apples, you’ll need some great recipes for them! See below for some delicious recipes from a few of our favorite websites/cookbook authors. (If you’re in the mood for more seasonal foods, check out these must-have fall recipes, too!)
Crockpot Apple Butter from Thriving Home
This is slow-cooker recipe is adapted from the author’s decades old family recipe. It’s a must-have recipe for a must-have fall condiment! (Be sure to use a programmable slow-cooker so you don’t burn it.)
Spiced Honeycrisp Apple Fritters with Vanilla Coffee Glaze from Half-Baked Harvest
Deep fried dough with apples and a COFFEE GLAZE? Sign me up! To help with chopping up all those apples, be sure to get an apple corer/slicer like this; it’s a lifesaver, trust me. And, since fall/winter baking season is coming up, go ahead and splurge on a good-quality vanilla. You can thank me later.
Caramel Apple Pie from The Pioneer Woman
Take your basic apple pie up a notch by adding caramel! Trust me, it’s delightful; plus, it makes the whole feel more fall-ish. Don’t forget your rolling pin and pie dish for this one!
Apple and Cheddar Crisp Salad from Smitten Kitchen
If you need something lighter after the above recipe, you cannot go wrong with a savory salad, complete with a simple, homemade dressing and seasonal ingredients. If you’ve never made your own dressing before, don’t be intimidated. Just grab a watertight container and go for it! It’s so much better than store-bought!!
