Brocks Gap Eye CareInverness Eye Care prides itself on providing comprehensive eye care with the latest technology, and now they are bringing that same level of care to Brocks Gap! The new office on Brocks Gap Parkway has something for everyone, no matter your eye care needs. Their experienced team is equipped to help you or your kids with routine care, contact lenses, glasses, diagnostic testing, and more!

Services

Brocks Gap Eye Care provides comprehensive eye exams for children and adults. They also see patients with diabetes, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and other medical conditions that may call for extensive and detailed eye care. In these sensitive cases, they work closely with the patient’s other healthcare providers to come up with the best treatment and prevention plans.

If you have a child with 20/20 vision, but still notice squinting or other eye symptoms that point to an eye muscle disorder, Brocks Gap Eye Care can custom design therapy programs and testing for them. They’ll even work with your child’s educators while trying to fix these problems.

Burning, itching, red eyes can be a sign of an ocular condition. Some of these are acute and can be resolved quickly, but some are chronic and may be related to other medical conditions. With their office’s advanced technology, they can assess and treat these kinds of problems. They can provide a variety of treatment options, including punctal plugs, Restasis, and other eye medications.

If you’re in the market for some new glasses or contact lenses, BGEC can provide those, too! They even carry eye wear brands like KREWE and SALT, which are innovative brands that create high quality glasses from unique materials! Their opticians can recommend the perfect corrective lenses for your life, whether you are on a computer all day, drive around town frequently, or spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities.

Dr. Mandy Duty

If you’ve been around the office lately, you may have noticed their newest practitioner, Dr. Amanda (Mandy) Duty. She is a native of Odenville and graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. She then moved to our lovely city for optometry school at UAB. She completed her residence at a local V.A. Hospital, focusing on geriatric and low vision rehabilitation. Following graduation, she served for 7 years in the Air Force, and is still serving in the USAF Reserves! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children on the lake and at the ball fields. She’s a sports fanatic, so if you happen to see her around town at a sporting event feel free to say hey!

Dr. Duty clearly has a lot of experience working with veterans, as well as traumatic brain injury patients. She’s also well-acquainted with routine eye care and ocular and corneal diseases. She’s even a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry! All in all, you can rest assured she is well-qualified to address any eye concerns you have.
