Bluff Park Christmas Parade

December 7, 2024 @ 10:00 am

About 35 groups have registered to participate in the ninth annual Bluff Park Christmas Parade. The parade is scheduled to start at the Bluff Park Community Park next to the Shades Cliff Pool, then proceed along Cloudland Drive (behind Bluff Park Elementary School), turn right onto Lester Lane, then turn south on Clearview Road (which turns into Maiden Lane), right onto Rockview Lane, right onto Cloudland Drive and end back at the park next to the Shades Cliff Pool.

Homewood Christmas Parade

December 10, 2024 @ 6:30 pm

The "Walking in a Homewood Wonderland" parade will feature the lighting of the Homewood Star on 18th Street as the parade enters Downtown Homewood. After the star is lit, the parade will continue and then culminate with the lighting of the Christmas tree at city hall plaza.

Trussville Christmas Parade

We hope you will join us for the 2024 Christmas Parade as it passes through Downtown Trussville. This is a free event for the citizens of Trussville to enjoy. The parade will begin on Parkway Drive. It will turn right onto Highway 11 and right again onto Chalkville Road. The parade will end after it passes by the Christmas tree at the Mall.  This year's parade theme is "The Spirit of Christmas" Entries are encouraged but not required to take part in the theme for the float competition. Prizes will be awarded to: Best Interpretation of Theme, Most Original, Most Innovative, Best Overall, Best Walking Group, Chamber's Choice and several honorable mentions will also be named.   **Rain Date: Sunday, December 15 at 2pm

Chelsea Christmas Parade

Make plans to attend the Annual Chelsea Christmas parade that will be held this year on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00 am.  This is a well-anticipated family event in our community that is enjoyed by all who attend. The parade officially begins at Chelsea Middle School and ends at Winn Dixie.  In the event of inclement weather, please refer to the website for parade updates.

Kristina G
Kristina is an Alabama native who came to Birmingham in 2005 for college (has it really been 15 years?!). She had lived in Muscle Shoals her whole life up until that point. After graduating from UAB in 2009 with a degree in journalism and a minor in music, she married Paul in 2011. Paul has worked in the tech industry since 2009. Kristina has had several jobs in the area - everything from banking, veterinary medicine and receptionist. She most recently worked from home as low-level tech support. Kristina and Paul had the biggest surprise of their lives when they went in for the first 8-week ultrasound and found out that they were expecting "spontaneous" twins! Everything was going to change already, but they had to multiply it by two! Two girls, Elle and June, were born in July 2019 and nothing has been the same since. Kristina is now a stay-at-home mom to Elle and June and it has been the most rewarding job of all! Kristina, Paul, Elle and June make home in Alabaster, where you can usually find them on the weekends. They like going around to the things in the area, such as shopping and going on walks in the park. The babies are famous - neither Kristina or Paul can go anywhere alone without people asking about the twins!
