Birmingham

Hi, Birmingham! I have lived in the Magic City my entire life. Well, sort of, anyway. I grew up in a small town right outside of Birmingham called Brighton, Alabama. My family and I now live outside of Trussville, but whenever I travel and people ask where I am from, I simply say, “Birmingham”. Although my husband and I have toyed with the thought of moving elsewhere to give our children a different experience, those thoughts have never manifested and we are still here, enjoying the growth that the Birmingham Metro Area is now undergoing and the melting pot it is becoming.

Cade Family of 8!

As a wife of almost 12 years and mother of 6 – yes SIX – beautiful children (including twins), I am always on the go. Somehow, between all of the chaos and routine, we still find time to love and appreciate our family first and foremost. All of our children are still under age 12 – “A” is 11, “T” is 10, “N” is 6, “M & M” are 4-year-old twins, and “Z.P” is only 10 months old. We spend tons of time exploring places and things for young children here in Birmingham and abroad. Because we have such a large family, I spend a lot of time couponing and showing other parents how to save money by doing the same. I also have this “thing” for organizing and running a tight ship. With that said, in some parts of my life as a mom, I resemble Jan Brady and in other parts, I’m more like Roseanne Barr. It’s called balance. I enjoy all of the personalities in my home (although it sometimes feels as though there are 1,432 personalities, instead of 8) and I enjoy being my children’s first and most important teacher.
