Thunder on the Mountain, Alabama’s most spectacular and largest Fourth of July fireworks show, returns to Red Mountain on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Vulcan Park & Museum invites the community to experience this annual tradition as the city’s sky lights up in celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday. At approximately 9 p.m., Pyro Shows of Alabama will launch the first of more than 2,500 fireworks shells and effects in a 20-minute show synchronized to a patriotic soundtrack.
