UAB ArtPlay Musical Theatre Camp: Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr.

Join the revolt in this Broadway Junior adaptation of the Tony Award–winning hit Matilda Jr. This three-week camp is designed for elementary-aged students and offers an unforgettable theatre experience. Young performers will explore this imaginative story while learning lines, singing memorable songs, and practicing energetic choreography. Campers will be cast in roles and work collaboratively to bring this magical story to life on stage. The camp culminates in two full performances for family and friends.

Tuition includes 14 days of camp with no camp on June 19, two performances on Friday, June 26 at 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., two complimentary tickets per performance, a camp T-shirt, and professional photography of the production available for free download after camp. Tuition does not include additional complimentary tickets, as extra tickets will be available for purchase for $5 starting the first day of camp, daily lunch since students should bring a packed lunch, or before and after care, which is available to purchase as an add-on.
