This fall, the city of Vestavia Hills celebrates an exciting milestone! On November 8, 1950, Vestavia Hills was officially incorporated as a city. That means that Vestavia Hills will celebrate its 75th birthday this fall!

To kick off the festivities, Leadership Vestavia Hills and the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to give local children a chance to win amazing birthday prizes while they learn more about the history of the city. From September 8th through October 9th, 2025, kids who visit “Birthday Businesses” in Vestavia Hills can learn a quick fun fact about the city’s history and enter to win a Vestavia Hills Birthday Basket. The baskets are filled to the brim with goodies and gift cards from local businesses. In total, the baskets are worth over $800! Some kids can even win birthday goodie bags at select stores just for visiting and entering to win. On October 2, from 5:00 PM- 7:30 PM at Vestavia Hills Civic Center, the city is throwing itself the ultimate birthday bash, and you are invited! There will be free food, jump houses, free face painting and temporary tattoos, live entertainment, and plenty of birthday fun for everyone. This is sure to be a celebration to remember, and your family will not want to miss it!
