If you’re anything like me, this time of year might find you battling a common seasonal struggle- winter skin. Cold, dry weather and lack of time in the sun can leave my skin dry, dull, and downright sad. I’m thrilled to report that in my quest to solve my sad skin situation, I’ve found several products that have turned things around! I’m no beauty or skin expert, but I can confidently say that these products are helping my skin feel and look healthy, hydrated, and happy. Here are the 6 products saving my winter skin!
1. La Roche-Posay Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream
I have dry skin year-round, so the wintertime really does a number on my skin. This lotion tops my list for truly moisturizing my skin and feeling rich without being greasy or oily. I feel like it truly absorbs into my skin instead of sitting on top of it like so many lotions do! Ingredients include shea butter, niacinamide, and ceramide-3. It’s also fragrance-free and suitable for your body and face.
2. Barefaced Toning Pads
For the longest time, I didn’t use a toner after cleansing because it seemed like an unnecessary step. Since starting one, I’ve come to realize that it’s truly worth the time, even when I’m SO ready for bed. I love how fresh and clean my face feels after using these, and the glycolic and salicylic acid do a great job of exfoliating, leaving my skin smoother and brighter. I’ve also used these Medicube toning pads and had great results!
3. Biodance Bio Collagen Mask
Face masks seem to be all the rage these days, and I totally get why. They feel luxurious and leave your face feeling and looking better than before. I kept seeing these collagen masks pop up on social media, and I’m here to say they are worth the buy! On the nights that I use one, I apply right before bed and leave it on while I sleep. The mask itself can be a little tricky to apply, but once I’m in bed and it starts to absorb into my skin, it stays in place. The ingredients feel so refreshing and relaxing and leave my skin moisturized and glowing.
4. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I’m sure you’ve seen or heard of the Laneige sleeping mask, but if not, let me introduce you to this little pot of gold! With vitamin c, murumuru, and shea butter, this lip mask delivers soft, moisturized lips even during the coldest, dryest time of year. It goes on like a lip gloss at bedtime and does its work while you sleep. On top of that, it comes in tons of fun flavors like pink lemonade, gummy bear, matcha bubble tea, and lots more.
5. La Roche-Posay Gentle Foaming Cleansing Oil
Using an oil cleanser when I shower has been a wintertime gamechanger. Made without soap or water, this cleanser removes dirt without stripping and drying out the skin. I’ve noticed my skin feeling softer and more moisturized since swapping out my usual bodywash with this!
6. Tanologist Self Tan Mousse
As a fair-skinned girly, I’m used to being paler than most, but this time of year can leave me feeling somewhat ghostly. Thankfully, there are tons of self-tanning products on the market that make getting a little color safe and easy. My go-to lately is this tanning mousse in the medium shade. It comes out as a foam and goes on easily. I typically apply before bed and let it sit for about ten minutes before putting on pajamas. After a shower the next morning, I’m left with a nice subtle hint of color and no streaks! Sometimes I’ll use it two nights in a row if I want to be a little darker.
Having softer, more hydrated skin has gone a long way in helping me feel more comfortable and confident in my skin this winter. I hope you’ll enjoy trying out some of these products as much as I have!
