Use ‘Em or Lose ‘Em
Types of Coverage
Check your insurance policy, because it may cover orthodontia. If orthodontics is covered on an insurance policy, there is usually a lifetime max along with an age limit.
Health saving is money allocated for health and dental that rolls over from year to year.
Switching Insurance Coverage
Even if you’re planning to switch insurance coverage in the new year, Janet (Oxmoor Valley Orthodontics’ treatment coordinator) says it’s worth it to go ahead and give them a call. While not all insurances cover orthodontics, their office can always verify insurance coverage for you.
Janet has even seen patients start collecting from one insurance company in December, then start a new insurance in January and collect from that as well. Of course, in that scenario, the patient doesn’t usually get the full benefit, but every little bit helps. Janet is trained to help save Dr. Sema’s patients the most money possible.
