If you’re looking for a free, family-friendly Halloween event near Birmingham, make plans to attend Spookfest 2026: Heroes & Haunts at the Hoover Met Complex. This popular annual celebration is a Halloween favorite and offers something exciting for kids and parents alike.
On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Hoover Met Complex will transform into a Halloween wonderland. The large space will be filled with festive activities, safe trick-or-treating, and community fun. Families can enjoy an evening of entertainment beginning at 4:30 p.m. with games, inflatables, contests, and prizes.
This year’s Spookfest is a collaboration with Hoover Public Safety featuring the Hoover Fire Department and Hoover Police Department. Get up close with public safety vehicles outside in the parking lot from agencies such as the DEA, ATF, U.S. Marshals, FBI, and others for a unique Touch-a-Truck experience.
Spookfest isn’t just an event; it’s a tradition. Parents can relax knowing their children are trick-or-treating in a safe environment while enjoying a memorable night out together. Costumes are encouraged, so bring your best spooky (or silly!) outfits and fill your candy bags to the brim.
Located at 5508 Stadium Trace Parkway in Hoover, the Hoover Met Complex is a premier venue for sports, events, and community gatherings. Spookfest reflects the city’s commitment to creating inclusive, family-focused experiences.
