• Book a Staycation for fun and rest close to home.
• Have a water balloon fight.
• Paint rocks and hide them at a local park for others to find.

  

• Take the whole family on a hike or bike ride, exploring one of the many family friendly spots around Birmingham.
• Go bowling.
• Go indoor rock climbing at Highpoint.
  
• Fly a kite.
• Visit a splash pad for a day of water fun.
• Make homemade pizza.
• Spend a day learning local history at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
• Send a postcard to a friend or family member.
• Try as many new ice cream flavors as you can to beat the heat.

  

• Go on a scavenger hunt.
• Pack a picnic lunch and visit a local park for the day.
• Visit a farmers’ market and make a yummy meal with your purchases.
