Who doesn’t love a good bakery? In my neck of the woods, we have several amazing ones to choose from. Three were listed as the winners of the Chilton County Best of the Best 2025. So, here are the the top bakeries in Chilton County.

1. Pies By Mike

Pies by Mike has been a fan favorite and won first place in the Chilton County Best of the Best 2025. It is home to the 24-hour pie room where you can walk in and purchase a dessert anytime. They have a new thing called “Crack Cups” which consist of cream cheese, brown sugar, heavy cream, pudding mix, chocolate chips, and graham cracker crumbs. These have been such a huge hit that they are selling out almost immediately. You can see what’s in stock and place orders on their website.

2. GeMa’s Cupcakes Plus

GeMa’s’ Cupcakes Plus offers a wide variety of unique cupcakes and other desserts. They have an array of cupcake flavors like churro cheesecake, mermaid, peanut butter chocolate, zesty lemon, and many more. Check out their Facebook page to see all the amazing things they have to offer!

3. Maddogs Creamery & Sweet Shoppe

Maddogs Creamery & Sweet Shoppe is inside Maddogs Grill. There is a wide variety of desserts and sweets to choose from. They have a delicious menu that includes beignets and bundt cake as well as pies, ice creams, cakes, sundaes and more.

Brittany Burchell is originally from Snellville Georgia but moved to Birmingham with her family in 1999. She attended high school at the newly opened Oak Mountain. Brittany is newly married. She is a 41-year-old mother to five kids. Her two children Emmett (7) and Elianna (3), and her three bonus teenage daughters she has with her husband Joseph. Her son Emmett was diagnosed with autism in 2022. She and her family reside in Chilton County. She devotes her time to raising her children and bringing awareness to autism and special needs children. She enjoys reading and writing and all things outdoors and video games.
