Whether it’s biscuits, pancakes, omelets, or a Sunday morning at a local BBQ joint, the Magic City brunch scene is not lacking. The BMC contributors were asked, and here are some of our favorite places to grab brunch in Birmingham, in no particular order.
Demetri’s BBQ

Hours: Brunch begins at 9:30 on Sunday, but you can get breakfast as early as 6am any other day of the week
We recommend: Get there early on Sunday, especially as area church services end. They recently expanded their dining room to accommodate more people. The pancakes are huge and a hit with kids! The “love biscuit” and cheese grits are not to be missed! While waiting, look at the original menu prices from when Demetri’s opened in 1961!

Ted’s Restaurant
Location: 328 12th Street South in Birmingham
Hours: 8AM-2PM on Sunday
