Birmingham Mom Collective :: Introducing Christina N.

Birmingham

Birmingham is a truly unique place, and I’m so thankful to call it home. I spent much of my childhood in the city before my family moved to Montevallo when I was entering high school, giving me the absolute best of both worlds–Birmingham’s vibrant culture and Shelby County’s scenic countryside. After a brief return to Homewood as an adult, my family and I are back in Shelby County, comfortably tucked right in between Helena and Alabaster.

We love venturing into the city to explore new restaurants, family spots, and entertainment. With family stretching from North Alabama all the way to Mobile, I can confidently say there is nowhere quite like Birmingham. Its rich history, continued growth, and incredible family spots make it a truly special place to live and explore!

Mom

Being a mom is my greatest joy. Like every mother knows, it’s a daily mix of emotions, choices, and constant adaptation—truly the hardest job I’ll ever love.

I’ve been blessed with two amazing children. My daughter turns five in August, and as she gets ready for kindergarten, my mommy heart is feeling every bit of that milestone! She is a free spirit—vibrant, kind, resilient, and already dreaming of becoming a doctor to help others. My two-and-a-half-year-old son melts my heart with his sweet, thoughtful nature. He’s completely obsessed with cars, tires, and big machinery—to the point where he sleeps with a handful of toy cars in his bed every night.

My children have taught me so much about patience, selflessness, and love. They push me to grow into the best version of myself, reminding me that motherhood is an ongoing process of learning and stretching. On the tough days, I lean on our family motto: “I can do hard things!” Each season comes with its own unique challenges and rewards, but my children give me so much purpose and inspire me to keep going every single day.

Collective

I am so honored and excited to be part of the Birmingham Mom Collective team! I love the spirit of collaboration and the genuine support that comes from connecting with other mothers. We truly are in this together, and together is always better.

My hope is to share helpful insights and offer encouragement to fellow moms navigating the daily joys and chaos of raising a family. Community is such an essential part of motherhood; without it, this journey can feel lonely. By building each other up, we can create lasting relationships, learn from one another, and grow together.

Christina N
I currently reside in Shelby County, Alabama, but I am a true Birmingham native at heart. My background is deeply rooted in education. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo and later completed my Master of Arts in English as a Second Language (ESL) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Over the years, I taught First Grade, Kindergarten, and K–2 ESL. Never one to slow down, I went back to Montevallo and earned my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Teacher Leadership in 2021—a milestone I reached right in the middle of the pandemic while pregnant with my oldest child! After welcoming my second child, I made the exciting transition from the classroom into real estate. As a Realtor for nearly two years, I still get to do what I love most every day: educate and guide people through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Outside of work, family is my heart. I’ve been married to my husband, David, for eight years—a love story that began right here in Birmingham! Together, we have two wonderful children who keep me young through their energy and spirit, constantly teaching me new lessons about life. As a family, we love serving in our church, adventuring outdoors, traveling, and exploring new places across this great state (whether it's a good hike, a trip to the beach, or heading to the mountains). I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to write alongside these wonderful moms and share practical, applicable content for whatever season of life you are in. I am so blessed by everything God has given me and excited to continue growing and serving in this community!
