Where to Buy Mahjong Sets in Birmingham

So, you’ve learned to play Mahjong and now you’re hooked! You are ready to invest in all the accessories! Let’s be honest, you really only need a set of tiles and racks to begin playing. If you aren’t ready to spend money on name brand tiles, you can find quality tiles on Amazon or Hobby Lobby for a fraction of the price. But, if you are now a committed (and dare I say addicted!) Mahjong player, I know you are thinking about those pretty pearlescent tiles and a matching mat, aren’t you?

If you are on the fence about what to buy, I highly suggest visiting some local stores to see the tiles and mats in person! I was recently in a local store to buy a mat as a birthday gift for my mom. I found one online that I loved, but it wasn’t in stock in the store. However, after seeing a different style in person I completely changed my mind about what I wanted to buy my mom. I’d seen this particular style online and wasn’t quite sure it was the right colors, but after seeing it in person I realized just how beautiful and rich the colors were.

Below are some local shops that carry name brand tiles. All of these stores listed are in the Birmingham metro area; they carry tiles, mats, racks, and other accessories to complete the perfect Mahjong get together with your friends. Some even offer classes and trunk shows!
