1. Freezy’s Creamery

Who doesn’t love a delicious treat on a hot day (or any day!)? Treat yourself and the kids to Freezy’s Creamery in Helena and enjoy ice cream by the scoop or by the pint, waffle cones, outdoor seating, and more. And you can even order your favorite flavors in pints using doordash!

2. Lee Springs Park

We love this park because of all of the shade! Lee Springs Park is great on a hot day because the park is built under a beautiful canopy of trees. It has different sizes of slides, ziplines, swings, picnic areas, and more. It’s great for all ages!

3. Hillsboro Trail

Hillsboro Trail is a 3.6-mile multi-use, shady trail where you can walk, run, hike, or take your bike or scooter for a ride. It takes an average of a little over an hour to complete the entire trail. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Thirstea Cafe is a local spot in Helena to get your Boba Tea fix and they boast of having the best Boba in Birmingham! Try their Boba tea or a poke bowl while you read one of the many books available, and play a fun board game with your kids. They have locations in Helena, Inverness, and the Pizits Food Hall.

Joe Tucker Park has multiple play areas, a baseball field, tennis and pickleball courts, and a walking trail around a small lake. There is something to do here for all ages of kids and grown ups!
