Whether it’s baseball, basketball, soccer, or football, sometimes you just need to get out of the house to yell at the television with like-minded fans. (Or maybe you need to suggest an outing for that way-too-into-in fanatic in your life.) Either way, we’ve got you covered! Here is our list of where to watch sports in Birmingham.

1. Avondale Brewing Company
Avondale Brewing Co. is an exceptional brewery and outdoor music venue that hosts several music concerts and events. They have a large screen with outdoor seating for basketball viewing.
2. Back 40 Brewery
The Back 40 Brewery is located next to Sloss Furnace, and has an expansive beer garden and outdoor porch with rocking chairs. They have an indoor stage and 20′ projection TV screen that is perfect for presentations, live music, and all the big games.
3. Baumhowers Victory Grille
Bob Baumhower (All-American from the University of Alabama and six time All-Pro for the Miami Dolphins) started his restaurant in 1981, to share his foodie passion with the world and introduce Buffalo-style chicken wings to the state of Alabama. Baumhowers has a great family-friendly environment and lots of TVs for basketball (and more!) viewing.
4. Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings is an obvious choice for this list! With several locations around our community, there’s sure to be a restaurant near you.
5. Cahaba Brewery
Cahaba Brewery is a Microbrewery and distillery located in the historic Continental Gin in East Avondale. They host several annual events and have a large space to accommodate lots of people in your party.
6. Casual Pint
The Casual Pint is the ultimate neighborhood gathering place in Hoover, Alabama with a phenomenal beer selection and mouth-watering cuisine. They have a warm and inviting community atmosphere perfect for individuals, families, large gatherings and more.
7. Filling Station
The Filling Station is a local eatery with global craft beers and a friendly environment, great pizzas, Italian food, live entertainment and much more! Located in the vibrant Crestwood neighborhood of Birmingham, The Filling Station has become a local favorite.
8. Good People Brewery
Good People Brewing Company is Alabama’s oldest and largest brewery. They have a large outdoor eating and drinking area, and host a variety of events.
9. Paramount
Paramount is a local bar arcade focusing on all-natural burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. The interior of the bar includes classic neon signs, butcher block, a vintage mural, shop lights, and a wall of car rims help create that garage meets arcade atmosphere.
10. Waldo’s Chicken and Beer
Waldo’s Chicken & Beer is all about great chicken, cooked Southern Fried and Rotisserie, and paired with a scratch-made menu of Southern sides. Waldo’s has an outdoor patio that’s great for kids and pets and several large TV’s for watching all of the games.
11. Walk-On’s
Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is a fun atmosphere for families, and has from-scratch dishes, wall-to-wall TVs, craft beer, and cocktail lists. With three locations in Birmingham you’re sure to have one convenient for you.
12. The Edge in Homewood
This community spot is perfect for enjoying the game with the whole family! The Edge boasts multiple food choices, including some sweet treats, and a green space with kids’ activities. (For certain events, they’ll even break out bounce houses!) Hanging out in the common area is free-of-charge, too, but you’ll probably be tempted enough to buy something from one of the food vendors after seeing everyone else’s plates.
13. Ferus Artisan Ales in Trussville
The outdoor space next to Ferus in Trussville is an ideal hangout spot! With various food choices around, ample seating, and even some retail spaces nearby (including a toystore) for antsy or bored kids, you can’t do better than watching the big game on this big screen!
