Birmingham Moms Blog is thrilled to announce that we are having our 2nd annual chic Halloween party for just the moms called Mummies’ Night Out at Vulcan Park and Museum on October 22nd! This will be a fun time to dress up in a costume (or just jeans if you prefer) and enjoy food, cocktails, costumes, music, entertainment, local vendors, giveaways, swag, and moms mingling! WHEN & WHERE
Mummies’ Night Out will be held on Tuesday, October 22 from 7 pm to 9 pm (6:30 pm for VIPs) at Vulcan Park and Museum (1701 Valley View Dr, Birmingham, AL 35209).
FOOD
Included in your ticket is a dinner catered by Taziki’s Mediterranean Café. The menu will include Fresh Fruit, Whipped Feta, Hummus, Pimento Cheese, Baked and Soft Pita, Signature Pasta, Chicken Roll-Ups, and Baklava. Yum!

Historically we have sold out of tickets, so we encourage you to save the date now and make arrangements with friends so that you do not miss out once ticket sales open in Eventbrite starting on September 23 at 8 pm.
All ticket sales are 100% final and Birmingham Moms Blog is unable to offer refunds for any reason, as this event will happen, rain or shine. There will be two types of tickets: General Admission and VIP.

COSTUME GIVEAWAYS
To encourage everyone to dress up in a costume and enjoy this night out, we are giving away 2 fabulous prizes: one for a single costume winner and one for a group costume winner.
Our single costume winner will win a $500 gift certificate from Diamond’s Direct.
The group costume winner will win a night away at Ross Bridge Resort along with a free breakfast for 2 at their restaurant. To be eligible to win, you must have a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4 people participating in your group costume.
COSTUME JUDGE
We are excited to announce that our costume judge will be Ashley Gann, local meteorologist on CBS 42 and mom of 3 kiddos! Ashley graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
DECOR
We are excited to work with Rainbow Balloon Company to decorate our Mummies’ Night Out event. Rainbow Balloon Company came about from the merger of BOBalloons and Lou Lou’s, and together they bring a combined total of over 30 years of experience to create bigger and better balloon décor for any event. They are making balloon creations more accessible to customers with a full-service balloon bar coming soon, inside of Lou Lou’s in Hoover, AL. This will offer customers the option to stop in and purchase balloons for any special occasion.
NON-PROFIT PARTNER
This year we are excited to partner with aTeam Ministries. aTeam Ministries is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to offering spiritual, emotional, and financial support to children and their families within the pediatric cancer community. This ministry fills the gap that often exists for families that are receiving great medical care inside the walls of a hospital and the unique needs of oncology and hematology patients outside of those walls. Issues such as compromised immunity eliminate the ability to stay in communal living situations like a hotel. The extended length of treatment often creates great financial burdens on families who are required to remain in close proximity to the hospital. aTeam Ministries was created to fill those gaps that present unique challenges to families facing pediatric cancer.
Mummies’ Night Out guests can support aTeam Ministries by bringing $5, $10, and $20 restaurant gift cards (ideally restaurants near Children’s Hospital) and home gifts such as bath towels, hand towels, dish towels, candles, and blankets. For each gift you bring, you will receive 5 extra giveaway tickets up to 15 tickets! You may bring as many as you’d like!
