Where to Watch Fireworks

We turned to our community of local moms for the best spots around Birmingham to watch fireworks (see entire guide of Where to Watch Fireworks in Birmingham), and here’s what we found…

  • Homewood for sure! Homewood park or 18th street in Homewood have great views of the fireworks at Vulcan. They usually have a street party on 18th street with rides and activities—kids can get wristbands and there’s lots to do leading up to the show.
  • Last year we loved parking at the Hoover Met and watching the fireworks from our car. It was so helpful since we had little ones to contain!
  • The lawn at Saint Rose Academy, it’s a hill so no one’s view gets blocked!
  • Top of Regions Bank parking lot in Homewood for Vulcan fireworks
  • Top of the parking decks at St. Vincent’s or UAB for Vulcan fireworks
  • The Hoover Met
  • UAB softball field parking lot
  • Callahan Eye Hospital parking deck
  • Oak Mountain
  • Near Oasis Counseling Downtown
  • Thompson High School
