Armour House

On February 13th and 14th, you and your special someone can celebrate Valentine’s Day with a four-course prix fixe dinner at Armour House, an elevated brasserie in the heart of downtown Birmingham. The first course features a spinach or Caesar salad, followed by a second course offering your choice between lobster bisque, duck and foie gras boudin, root vegetable tart tatin, or Murder Point oysters. Entree selections include New York strip, pork tenderloin, brown butter poached redfish, and sweet potato gnocchi. End the evening on a sweet note with winter citrus tart, Matilda cake, or berries and cream. 

Bistro 218

This elegant and charming downtown spot will host a 3-course prix fixe Valentine’s dinner on February 14th with a menu befitting a romantic evening out. Guests will indulge in beef wellington, rack of lamb, blackened redfish and finish the meal with decadent desserts, including dark chocolate tarte and lemon honey cake. 

Blueprint on 3rd

A “polished-casual” brasserie located on, you guessed it, 3rd Avenue downtown, Blueprint on 3rd features a four-course Valentine’s dinner with an extensive menu including something to please everyone! In addition to an array of appetizers and soup/salads, the menu features entree selections like pomegranate glazed salmon, scallops, lobster and shrimp, braised veal shank, and beef tenderloin. Dessert selections include creme brulee, gooey butter cake, white chocolate bread pudding, flourless chocolate torte, and apple cranberry cobbler. 

Daniel George

If you’re looking for a night of fine dining mixed with sophisticated elegance, Mountain Brook’s Daniel George is sure to please. Their Valentine’s menu offers a three-course menu with a variety of options. Starters include a little gem salad, gumbo, oysters, and beef short rib. Follow that up with grilled beef, scallops, rack of lamb, or chicken breast. Dessert offerings include raspberry creme brulee, chocolate mousse gateau, and a sorbet trio. 

Farrelly’s Southern Kitchen 

Located in The Grove in Hoover, Farrelly’s offers southern cooking with an upscale casual vibe. For Valentine’s Day, they will be serving a 3-course menu on February 13th and 14th that starts with your choice of french onion soup or caesar salad. Following that, choose between filet oscar or seared grouper for your entree. Finally, finish the evening with chocolate molten lava cake or New York cheesecake for dessert. 

Fleming’s

A classic, white-tablecloth steakhouse and wine bar, Fleming’s provides all the makings of a classically romantic meal. From February 11th-16th, enjoy the menu for two, which features a shareable sliced porterhouse and crab-stuffed lobster tail paired with your choice of roasted strawberry burrata or Caesar salad to start and a dark chocolate cherry tart for dessert. 

Frothy Monkey

Visit Frothy Monkey in Homewood or downtown Birmingham on February 13th or14th for a romantic evening in a cozy and relaxed setting. The 3-course meal begins with your choice of an artisan cheese plate to share or two arugula salads. For your entree, choose between red wine braised beef sirloin, herb crusted mahi, or grilled chicken and sun-dried tomato pesto campanelle. Finish the meal sharing a double chocolate flourless cake with caramel and a fresh strawberry! 

GM705

If you’ve ever enjoyed a meal at Gianmarco’s or Pizzeria GM, you will be glad to know their sister venue GM705 is hosting a special wine dinner featuring a 5-course meal with wine pairings on February 13th and 14th. The menu features gulf oyster stew, jumbo lump crab cake, yellowfin tuna, lamb ribeye with sweet potato gratin, and a cookie skillet with gelato.

Juniper Birmingham

If you’re thinking outside the box this Valentine’s Day, look no further than this whimsical and charming cocktail bar nestled in Forest Park. While they don’t normally take reservations, they are making an exception for February 14th and offering a select menu. The appetizers portion of the meal features Continental Bakery bread with cheeses and oysters with cocktail and mignonette sauces. Main dishes include New York strip with duck confit potatoes, entree Caesar salad with chicken, crab cake, or hearts of palm, and cacio e pepe. For dessert, enjoy red velvet cheesecake or raspberry or yuzu sorbet (add a sparkling rose floater for an extra special touch!). 

Oak House 

Mount Laurel’s neighborhood spot for upscale casual offers elevated American fare in a sleek and modern space. Celebrate Valentine’s on February 13th or 14th and enjoy a prix fixe dinner featuring bread service, lobster bisque, Oak House salad, filet with lobster tail or soy ginger glazed sea bass, and chocolate bundt cake. 

Perry’s Steakhouse

This classic steakhouse offers numerous ways to celebrate with your special someone. From February 12th-15th, enjoy the candlelight dinner for two, which includes your choice of salad, filet with lobster tails to share, sides of whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables, and a half-dozen chocolate dipped strawberry kisses to share. On February 13th and 14th, they also offer an expansive 3-course menu that includes soup, salad, an entree, and dessert. Entree selections feature steak, fish, chicken, pork, and a vegan option as well. If you’d rather stay in your pj’s but still want to eat well, you can also order both Valentine’s specials to-go!

Vino

A chic Mediterranean and Italian eatery in English Village, Vino’s Valentine’s dinner includes a 4-course menu of canapes, appetizers, a selection of entrees, and a dessert trio. Guests can expect to choose between an array of delicious dishes, including lobster bisque, bang bang cauliflower, toasted ravioli, braised lamb, grouper farfalle, “date night” pasta, and more. A suggested wine pairing for each course will be available for additional purchase. Guests will also be treated to complimentary chocolate-covered, Moscato-infused strawberries!
