Mother’s Day is almost here! There’s no better time to celebrate the mom in your life with a nice meal out, especially if she usually does the cooking. And to the moms out there reading this, we give you full permission to forward this link to your loved ones or make the reservation yourself. You deserve it! Here are six Birmingham restaurants with Mother’s Day specials.

1. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
For classic fine dining, Fleming’s is a fantastic choice! Mother’s Day specials include a 2-course brunch menu and a filet and lobster menu available on May 9th and 10th. The brunch menu features Fleming’s salad or mushroom brie soup to start, followed by your choice of beef tenderloin with french onion frittata, filet mignon with crab-stuffed shrimp, or steamed ginger sea bass. Brunch is served until 3 PM and starts at $58/guest. The two-course filet and lobster menu features the same starters with filet and lobster as the entree for $85/guest. Both the dinner menu and children’s 3-course menu are available all day. Dessert offerings include lime cheesecake tart and a sharable dessert platter with chocolate-covered strawberries, carrot cake, and dark chocolate truffles. Be sure to make a toast to mom with an “Ultra-Violet Ube” cocktail too!
2. Galley & Garden
This Mother’s Day, Galley & Garden will serve a 3-course brunch featuring a wide array of seasonal specialties. Start things off with a fruit and yogurt parfait, Caesar salad, pickled shrimp, lobster bisque, mushroom and walnut pate, or pimento cheese fritters. For the next course, choose between steak and eggs, crab cake, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, or short rib pot pie, just to name a few. As if all that were not enough, the meal concludes with your choice of chocolate Chambord pot de creme, red wine poached pear, keylime mousse, or caramel cake. The special menu is available on May 10th for $70/person.
3. Cafe BMA
In case you haven’t heard, Cafe BMA is the Birmingham Museum of Art’s new on-site restaurant managed by renowned Birmingham caterer Kathy G & Company! The cafe typically opens for lunch service Wednesday through Friday from 11 AM to 2 PM, but they also offer Sunday brunch for special occasions. For Mother’s Day, Cafe BMA will offer a delicious brunch buffet on May 10th from 11 AM to 2:30 PM. Treat mom to a spread of elevated brunch classics and a complimentary mimosa or glass of champagne! Cost is $49.95/adult and $16.95 for children ages 6-12.
4. Seasons 52
Seasonally inspired menus and a laid-back yet elegant setting make Seasons 52 a great place for a memorable meal. Mother’s Day brunch will be served on May 9th and 10th, with the dinner menu available all day. The 3-course menu includes a starter, soup or salad, and an entree. Starter selections include a charcuterie board, various flatbreads, a crab cake, and avocado toast. Next, choose between lobster bisque, chicken and artichoke soup, white bean soup, or spinach and strawberry salad. Finally, the main event includes a lineup of solid brunch classics: quiche (crab and cheddar or spinach), french toast, steak and eggs, and shrimp and grits. Make things extra celebratory with a round of strawberry hibiscus margaritas!
5. The Yard
Inside downtown’s chic Elyton Hotel, you’ll find The Yard serving elevated Dutch-Southern fusion cuisine. On May 10th from 9 AM to 2 PM, indulge in a family-friendly Mother’s Day buffet that includes a made-to-order omelette station, chicken and waffles, gouda grits, chilled seafood, desserts, and more. The buffet costs $80/adult or $30/person for children ages 5-12. Kids 4 and under eat free!
6. Big Bad Breakfast
The beloved Southern breakfast and lunch restaurant from James Beard award-winning and Michelin Guide-recognized Chef John Currence is treating moms to a complimentary Strawberry Dessert Biscuit on Mother’s Day. This is a mini version of their homemade biscuit with scratch-made strawberry jam, fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
