A Guide to Homewood’s Parks & Playgrounds

Homewood Parks

Spend even a short amount of time in Homewood, and you’ll quickly learn two things: People here LOVE to be outside, and there are a LOT of kids! It comes as no surprise, then, that parks and playgrounds abound, providing ample places for families to play and enjoy the outdoors. So, here is your ultimate guide to Homewood Parks & Playgrounds!

1. Central Park

Located in the heart of Homewood on Oxmoor Road, Central Park is a well-known and popular spot for playdates, parties, city events, exercise, and more. Just last year, the park underwent a major renovation that completely revamped the playground, making it the city’s first full-scale playground that is ADA compliant and suitable for kids of all abilities. In addition to play equipment, the park features 6 pavilions with picnic tables, a walking path, large green space, amphitheater, and tennis courts. It is adjacent to the Homewood Community Center and pool, making this area a hub for recreation and outdoor fun!
